Iran is ready to reinitiate atomic talks with the United States as long as it is handled with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

Abbas Araghchi said exclusively dialogue was effective, and shared new appeals had come from go-betweens to restart discussions with the US government. He asserted Iran had zero unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran could not yet allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Route

The foreign minister is walking a challenging course since Iran aims to avoid be seen to be proceeding from a position of disadvantage, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen more powerful militarily and mentally from the joint assault on its atomic facilities in June.

He was addressing at a security conference in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to process nuclear material within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Previous Talks Suddenly Concluded

The earlier sessions of talks between the United States and Iran were brought to an abrupt and acrimonious termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, attacked Iran's enrichment centers in a two-week conflict that concluded with Donald Trump declaring the sites had been eliminated. Subsequently, EU nations exercised their privilege to reimpose global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Proposed

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in previous talks, when it was agreed an Iran-based consortium with American involvement could enrich uranium. The two nations would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be assured that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the talks that US nuclear scientists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Officials claimed on multiple occasions they had achieved a deal with Trump's special envoy the US official only for the arrangement to collapse due to "opponents in the US".

Current Position

Political Position

In his remarks to the forum, designed to paint the US as a dominant force that abuses the notion of international law, the foreign minister said the fortnight-long engagement demonstrated the conflict could not be ended by military means. He said the strikes started with a US demand for an complete Tehran capitulation and concluded with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were executed with total Washington understanding and cooperation, making faith challenging to rebuild.

Dialogue Remains the Primary Answer

Araghchi stated: "Tehran was not the one that had abandoned dialogue; it was the United States and the European states that had always sought to dictate their demands during the talks. Dialogue can still be viable and continues the ultimate resolution to address disagreements, but its standards, guidelines and tenets must be adhered to."

"Provided that they talk to the nation of Iran with the language of dignity and honor, they will obtain a answer in the equivalent language."

Restoration and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Iran's diplomats as the battle of repair and rebuilding, Araghchi said he was certain Iran's security strengths "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been restored. We gained many lessons from this war; we have identified our personal limitations and the vulnerabilities of the adversary."

He stated: "We managed to survive this engagement. Our enrichment knowledge, which they intended to destroy, continues to exist. The facilities and gear, if eliminated, will be restored; what is important is the determination of the nation of Iran and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but failed to break. The citizens of Tehran have grown more resilient, more integrated, and more supportive of the leadership and the state in the face of this assault."
